The luxury walking tours combine walking with visits to places of interest. Daily distances will be 4-6 miles/6-9 km plus varying amounts of ascent, and we don’t expect to walk for longer than 4 hours (plus stops). Most of the walking will be on paths, tracks or quiet roads, although the surfaces can be wet and rough. We will stay in small country house hotels, so that you may relax in comfort after your day out walking.
This luxury hiking trip will take us to Arran in the Firth of Clyde, dubbed as "Scotland in miniature"; and to the Inner Hebrides: the whisky island of Islay; and Jura where red deer outnumber people many times over.
This 10-day luxury hiking trip includes all Scotland has to offer: hikes in the Highlands, spectacular coastal walks, archaeology in Kilmartin Glen, walks on the Hebridean isles of Kerrera, Mull and Ulva, and a boat trip to the basalt island of Staffa and the puffins on Lunga.
